Hosted at the Murooj Rotana in Dubai, En Vogue by AJK was a sight to behold. A popular event which just completed its 4th showcase, this much awaited gala for fashionistas in D-town was a must visit. The extravaganza raised the bar to a whole new level as it displayed a showcase of the best with an aura of glamour and style. Women and men alike were crowded around various stations looking at the exquisite merchandise that had been designed by some of India’s renowned designers.

The collections curated by the organizers Mrs. Anuradha Agarwal and Mrs. Jyoti Karmali of JK events, incorporated an inherent sense of elegance, tradition and chic. I was impressed with its organization and the distinct segregation between precious stone cut jewelry, to designer Indian and fusion wear, to makeup, accessories, watches, home décor, handicrafts and healthy eating.

Making a beeline to the apparel, I was enamored by the sheer array of regal silhouettes and the spectrum of colours that filled the ballroom. The event was attended by veteran and debut exhibitors, which gave the brand an enormous ‘in-vogue’ offering. The air buzzed with excitement as shopaholics rushed to get their hands on the latest couture ensembles in time for the approaching festive season.

The crowning jewel of it all was the lounge which featured many esteemed celebrity designers. Cocktails and canapés flowed lavishly here as the enthusiastic media snapped up several prominent faces that were seen trying on intricate and glamorous evening wear.

This event proved to be a success with the exhibitors as well, several that decided to debut into the Middle Eastern market and had the opportunity to network with other designers, boutique owners and establish valuable contacts with the who’s who of Dubai. The platform was a fantastic showcase as exhibitors did great business and are now extremely enthusiastic for the next edition.

Naturally the expectation is always to made the next edition bigger and better. In speaking to Mrs. Agarwal it was evident that she prides herself in leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a memorable experience for her clients. En Vogue is an upcoming brand that stands out in a style of its own, with hopes of adding new categories and exhibitors that portray an exquisite style, it is an event to watch out for in the future.
